To all DeskNotes users, or at least those who read this.

I was very busy last 10 months, finishing house and getting on speed in new job. House is finished including garden, but I'm still pretty busy at my job. Nevertheless I'll try to spend some time on desknotes to fix bugs, add features and improve what
needs to improved now when autumn is coming.

Best regards,

Do you know it is possible to move desknote over desktop by either holding down "Ctrl" + left mouse button, or if you select "Move" from desknote popup menu? Just curious if these features are discoverable...

Thanks' Martin

New Post: A few thoughts

Re a title bar it could be done. Do I understand you correctly ravensorb that title bar should show first few letters from deksnote text and last modification time?

New Post: simple feature request (transparent background)

Let me investigate this, this sounds like good idea which preserves readability while making it transparent.
would it be difficult to add the option to select a transparent background?

i have tried using black or white and setting the overall transparency to about 50%, which looks nice but of course the problem is the text is also at 50%.

Nice app - I love the sync feature too :)

Couple of thoughts:

First, with the latest build 2.3.1 b35 -- The font color does not seem to be applied (just the background color)

Have you thought about adding a small "title bar" to each note as an option -- this would always allow notes to be moved around, it could be used to collapse/expand notes, and it could be used to quickly id a note on the desktop (maybe a date/time stamp
and the first x characters of the note -- and then allow use to change it). PNotes does a cool job with this.

(I use outlook 2007)

No message - nothing happens

New Post: change default note size

Is it possible to change the default note size?
My new notes are to big and I have to resize them all.

Another question:

I put all notes (stickies) one below another.
Now they have all different sizes and I can't see very well how large they are because of the border when it is edited or moved.
How can I resolve this?

NEW POST: New features, post 2.0.x release

I would like to gather some ideas what can be added to DeskNotes to make them more interesting for users. These should be features, not just bug fixes. My ideas are like:

Implement online help - a lot of work, not hard

Integrate with Windows Desktop Search - challenging to do it in C#, therefore I will likely try it

Better integration with Windows Desktop (explorer)

This can be something like DeskNotes stays visible on Windows Desktop even Show desktop Windows action is called.

Or Windows Desktop popup sub menu New contains action New | DeskNotes. These are examples that I don't know how to do them, but still looks interesting

???

Feel free to express yourself in this discussion.
PS. If someone has good graphical skills and would like to contribute better nicer icons and graphics I will happily accept.
